Director, Naval Architect
Peter Eyre is a qualified naval architect with over a decade of experience at the cutting edge of marine design.
Hailing from Derry / Londonderry in Northern Ireland, Peter studied Ship Science at the University of Southampton graduating with a MEng in Ship Science / Yacht and Small Craft.
Peter began his first professional assignment with the Royal National Lifeboat Institute in the summer of 2004.
With a passion for solving problems Peter embarked on his greatest professional challenge to date, the design of the RNLI's latest and most advanced all weather lifeboat, the Shannon Class. With thorough design, analysis and testing Peter broke down many preconceptions to set new a new benchmark in the performance of lifeboats in all weather conditions.
Peter has led an ever widening range of engineering projects throughout the entire vessel lifecycle from conception through to the detailed design, production, operation and disposal.
Peter's passion for the water does not stop with marine design, he is a keen sailor and enjoys spending his time on and around the water either sailing, kitesurfing or kayaking.
Ian Braham jointed PEMD in October 2015. Ian is a proven business leader, with extensive experience in high-technology engineering sectors including simulation and airport infrastructure.
As former Head of Marine, Superyacht and Commercial Vessel Finance at RBS (Lombard) Ian has played a key role within the marine industry for many years.
Ian’s knowledge, insight and hands-on attitude are invaluable in the management of PEMD.
